What is AGV / AMR?
AGV and AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) are industrial robotic vehicles used to automate payload operations.
AGVs are generally designed for hauling along fixed roads. The movement of AGVs is controlled using magnetic or optical strips, wireless links, or laser scanners that follow a predetermined path.
AMRs can move around freely by scanning and mapping their environment without needing to follow a specific path. Using AMRs, sensors, and artificial intelligence, they can move safely by detecting and avoiding obstacles in their environment.
